Kevin Donner, head coach of the men's and women's cross country and track and field teams at Bucknell, continued the success last year that has earned him 13 Patriot League Coach of the Year awards.

For a second season in a row, Donner's squad captured the women's Patriot League triple crown in 2006-07, taking the cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field titles. An individual Patriot League cross country champion in Leanna Nastase, seven individual champions and one relay champion indoors as well as five individual and one championship relay outdoors helped the Bison women to a total of 41 All-Patriot League honors over the three seasons. Donner was named Patriot League Coach of the Year in all three seasons, as well.

On the men's side in 2006-07, Donner and his staff guided the squads to their best showings in several years with third-place team finishes in cross county and indoor track and field and a runner-up performance outdoors.

Under Donner's direction, the Bison men captured six individual titles indoors and five outdoors in 2006-07, garnering 17 all-league accolades thoughout the year. Beyond the Patriot League, Donner coached the cross country squads to a top-five finish for the women and a top-15 showing for the men at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional meet last season, sending two individuals to the NCAA Championships, Nastase and Matthew Forys. During the track and field indoor season, four members of the men's squad captured five All-East honors, including an individual IC4A title for Forys in the 3,000.

The women took home four All-East accolades with Marjorie Grap claiming the title in the weight throw as both the men's and women's teams finished in the top-10 at IC4As/ECACs for the first time in school history. Outdoors, Tyler Hoffman and Joshua Kaehler were named All-East in the hammer and javelin, respectively, and competed at the NCAA Regionals along with David Mante and Forys, who advanced to the NCAA Championship in the steeplechase.

On the women's side, Grap was an All-East performer in the hammer and the discus, Nastase earned All-East honors in the 10,000 and Offeibea Hanson-Hall, Erin Cranmer-Hart, Allison Janda and Christa Sawko were All-East recipients as a part of Bucknell's 4x800 relay squad. Grap qualified for the NCAA Regional in both the hammer and the discus while Sawko (800), Christine Totten (steeplechase), Amy Mantush (high jump) and Melanie Buczko (pole vault) qualified for the regional as well.

Before arriving at Bucknell in 2001, Donner, a native of Detroit, Mich., and a 1984 graduate of the University of Detroit, successfully transformed the Saint Francis (Pa.) program into one of the elite squads in the Northeast Conference. It was a banner campaign in 2000-01 for the Red Flash men's teams, as Saint Francis captured its second straight NEC cross country title, followed by indoor and outdoor track and field titles as well. The cross country unit placed third at the Mid-Atlantic Regional and vaulted to a Division I national ranking of 26th.

Donner also guided the Red Flash women to an NEC cross country title in 1997 and the men's and women's cross country teams to All-Academic Team honors in five consecutive seasons. He was cited as the conference coach of the year in cross country and track and field seven times, and in 2000, he was honored as the top men's cross country mentor in the Mid-Atlantic Region. All 81 men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field school records were shattered under Donner's watch.

Among the stellar individual achievements by his Red Flash student-athletes were a cross country All-American, 40 men's and women's NEC titles, 27 all-conference performers, nine U.S. Junior National qualifiers, two Canadian National qualifiers and six CoSIDA Academic All-Americans.

Prior to his stint at Saint Francis, Donner served as assistant women's cross country and track and field coach at Central Michigan University from 1993-95. There, Donner coached eight All-Mid-American Conference performers and one NCAA qualifier.

Following his graduation from Detroit, Donner established a new varsity program at his alma mater, becoming the school's first-ever women's coach. He served a nine-year stint at Detroit, where he coached 20 All-Midwestern Collegiate Conference student-athletes and guided the women's cross-country program to back-to-back MCC titles in 1986 and 1987.

A member of the NCAA Division I Coaches Associations for cross country and track and field, Donner took over the reins of a Bucknell program that has listed among the elite in the East for the better part of two decades. Bucknell's women's cross country team has captured six of the past nine Patriot League titles, while the men's team won three straight championships from 1990-92 and again from 1997-99. Similarly successful on the track, the Bison women have earned eight of the last nine Patriot League outdoor titles and nine of the last 10 indoor championships. All told, the Bucknell men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field squads have captured 24 Patriot League championships in 17 years. Donner will continue to be charged with adding to Bucknell's academic tradition. As head coach, Donner assisted 112 athletes to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll accolades in 2007-08.

Donner owns USATF level I and II coaching certifications in endurance and throws. He currently resides in Lewisburg with his wife Amy, a statistics and mathematics instructor at Bucknell, and their one-year-old daughter, Jillianne.
