According to Head Coach Heather Lewis: "I can describe Chyncia's personality as an athlete in one word: `passionate.' One of her greatest strengths is the competitive spirit she brings to the field every day. And, she complements that with a firm commitment to working hard and accepting all of life's challenges. Chyncia is one of our best natural athletes and I intend on taking advantage of those talents, utilizing her on both the forward and midfield lines. I anticipate Chyncia will leave this program as one of its best leaders ever." 2006: Started four contests and saw action in all 17 games ... registered 16 shots ... scored five goals for a total of 10 points ... had her first career game-winning goal against Siena ... defensively recorded 16 interceptions and 18 positive tackles ... played both midfield and forward ... has been diligent in her commitment to become more of a threat with the ball ... served as a Resident Assistant for the second year ... named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll 2005: Started six contests and played in 16 games total ... recorded 17 interceptions and 15 positive tackles as a midfielder/defender ... spent the entire fall providing depth in our defense and midfield ... moved to the forward line in the spring season ... named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll 2004: Saw action in all 19 games, including one start ... scored three goals on the season for a total of six points ... recorded 12 interceptions and 13 positive tackles ... demonstrated significant improvement during the spring season ... versatile enough to play any position on the field Personal: Graduated from Hunterdon Central High School ... excelled in four sports: field hockey, lacrosse, softball and track ... all-state in field hockey and softball ... majoring in accounting ... daughter of Andrew & Corliss Smith |
